In recent days, we have witnessed an intensifying series of media attacks, accusations and insinuations directed at ALTA Group and its operations. We believe it is now beyond doubt that this is an orchestrated campaign aimed at undermining the reputation of ALTA Banka and overshadowing the results the bank has achieved through its business. Such sustained pressure calls into question not only our company’s reputation, but also the trust we have built over many years with our clients, employees and business partners.

ALTA Banka firmly rejects any attempt to use such an approach to cast doubt on the lawfulness of its operations. Our business is founded on compliance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia, the applicable regulatory frameworks and the procedures governing banking operations. We believe that every business decision must be viewed in its proper context, rather than used as a pretext for spreading suspicion and creating a negative image of the bank.

Precisely because of our responsibility towards our clients, employees, business partners and the financial system as a whole, we will not engage in public disputes based on insinuation, nor will we allow unverified interpretations to take the place of facts. We remain open to communication with the media, we respect the public’s right to be informed, and we acknowledge the legitimate role of journalists in asking questions. However, the right to information also entails responsibility for the way in which information is presented to the public.

Behind ALTA Group are more than 8,000 employees, their families, business partners and numerous companies. Our responsibility to all of them requires that we continue to operate in a stable and responsible manner, regardless of the pressures we face.
