NOTICE TO CLIENTS: CENTRAL REGISTER OF ELECTRONIC BILLS OF EXCHANGE (CREM)

Dear Sir/Madam,

As of December 1, 2025, the National Bank of Serbia is introducing the Central Register of Electronic Bills of Exchange (CReM) – a modern digital platform that enables completely electronic use of bills of exchange, without paper documentation.

Benefits of using the Central Register of Electronic Bills of Exchange (CReM):

  • Easy access – use through existing electronic banking applications, with confirmation of bill of exchange transactions via qualified cloud electronic certificate (ConsentID application).
  • Greater speed and efficiency – creation, issuance, transfer and collection of bills of exchange are performed online, without visiting the Bank.
  • Security and transparency – all data is stored in a public register, with full legal security.
  • Legal validity – Bill of Exchange Extract from CReM represents a public and authentic document in court and enforcement proceedings.

To access the CReM portal, it is necessary to:

  • Have the legal representative authorize a person to access the CReM portal at the nearest Bank branch.
  • Have the authorized person be a user of the Bank’s electronic banking for legal entities and entrepreneurs (available for ALTA eBiz and Asseco OfficeBanking users).
  • Activate the cloud qualified electronic certificate through the eGovernment portal, using the ConsentID application (registration at Bank branch).

For all additional information, we are at your disposal:

Best regards, ALTA Banka
