ALTA for children’s smiles: Gifts brought joy to children from the “Kolevka” Home

With the action “ALTA for Children’s Smiles”, ALTA Bank, in cooperation with the Inclusive Serbia Center, distributed New Year’s gifts to children in the “Kolevka” Home for Children with developmental disabilities in Subotica this week. This initiative aims to provide joy and support to the youngest, drawing attention to the importance of inclusion and solidarity in society.

“This donation from ALTA Bank, with the Inclusive Serbia Center support, means a lot to us. We are very pleased when we see this kind of support, solidarity and empathy towards our Home and the children in our care. A donation in the form of New Year’s gifts will help us bring the spirit of holidays and love closer to children,” said Sokovic.

Tanja Knezevic, executive director of ALTA Bank, expressed her satisfaction with the successfully implemented “ALTA for Children’s Smiles” project.

“After the beautiful and emotional visit to the children in Bela Crkva last week, we had the honor to visit the ‘Kolevka’ Home in Subotica. We are proud that ALTA bank, in cooperation with the Inclusive Serbia Center, has the opportunity to bring joy and support to children and youth in social protection institutions throughout Serbia through our campaign ‘ALTA for children’s smiles’. This project fills us with pride, because we not only provide help, but create a better world for everyone, as a socially responsible company. Young talents, sports clubs, sportsmen, as well as babies born on World Savings Day are supported by us. We are committed to the development of the community in which we live and work. Our goal is to bring happiness, joy and changes with campaigns like this one, and raise together awareness of the importance of inclusion and providing support to those who need it the most,” said Knezevic.

As part of this campaign, visits are planned to 14 social welfare institutions throughout Serbia where children of different ages are accommodated, all with the aim of socializing and donating New Year’s gifts. ALTA Bank visited Bela Crkva last week, where it presented gifts to children from the “Vera Radivojevic” Home.

The campaign implemented by ALTA bank is a part of its long-term vision to create an environment providing opportunities for development for young people, support in achieving results for sportsmen, and cultural institutions with resources for nurturing tradition and art, through socially responsible business.

ALTA bank – Adriatic Luxury Summit

Dr Una Sikimic to the Adriatic Luxury Summit on socio-economic factors in the development of luxury industries – opportunities and threats

Belgrade hosted the prestigious Adriatic Luxury Summit, held in the newly opened St. Regis hotel. The event brought together leaders and pioneers of the luxury industry from the region, Europe and the world, where they exchanged knowledge and research results on trends and developments in the luxury industry, as well as their importance and impact on countries’ economies.

ALTA Bank is the sponsor of this important event, and the president of the Executive Board of ALTA Bank, Dr Una Sikimić, participated in the introductory panel entitled “Navigating socio-economic factors in the expansion of the luxury industry”. On the panel, together with the presidents of insurance companies and investment funds, as representatives of financial institutions` eco-systems providing support for the functioning and development of the luxury industry, she spoke about the roles of the financial institutions and support of the luxury industry to the national and global economies.

Our Executive Board President, Dr Una Sikimic, gave an overview of global trends in the luxury industry, as well as the perspective of further development until 2030, referring to researches by the leading global investment banks. She placed special emphasis on the fact that the Republic of Serbia received an investment credit rating in 2024 from the international rating agency Standard and Poor’s, which is the best indicator of the stability and favorable economic and investment environment, including the segment of the luxury industry in the broadest sense. Dr Una Sikimic discussed the role and contribution of commercial banks to the luxury industry, the constant growth of expectations and the creation of additional benefits and services for the affluent segment of natural persons` clients, as well as business support and project financing for corporate clients operating in the luxury industry. Speaking about trends, Dr Sikimic pointed out that ALTA Bank’s investment strategy was set in such a way as to differentiate different client categories, in order to meet clients’ expectations in the most adequate way and provide service to more clients with the highest expectations

She also concluded, drawing a parallel with the development and trends in the banking sector, that the key postulates of the development of ALTA Bank are complementary to the pillars of the development of the luxury industry, especially highlighting innovations, digitalization, personalization, sustainability and responsibility.

ALTA Bank, as a proud sponsor of the event, has once again demonstrated its commitment to the development of the regional market and strengthening the synergy between global brands and local businesses.

The Adriatic Luxury Summit has become a place of dialogue and presentation of the impact of the luxury industry on regional economies with the aim of stimulating non-investment pulses and inspiring domestic and foreign investors to recognize the potential of this growing market. This event not only shed light on global trends, but also represents a platform positioning Belgrade and the region as recognizable destinations for the luxury industry.

ALTA bank celebrated the Patron saint day of St. Michael the Archangel –
Tradition in order to preserve value

As one of the few banks in Serbia with a domestic ownership and management structure, we base our business on respecting tradition, investing in the knowledge and satisfaction of employees, as well as on supporting the local community. On the other hand, we apply the highest standards of business and quality of services we provide to our clients. Tradition and respect for heritage represent the fundamental postulates of our business.

Yesterday we celebrated our Patron saint day /slava/, Saint Michael the Archangel. This event is an opportunity to reaffirm the values that we cherish as a Bank and to remind of the importance of tradition in everyday life and business.

Business success is measured by understanding the changes that are happening and by the speed of our reactions to them. In today’s dynamic business environment, as a Bank we successfully establish our authentic model, balancing between tradition and innovation, all with the aim of being a reliable partner and support for our employees and clients.

Digitization and the application of artificial intelligence, and, on the other hand, the increasingly present ESG standards, are two pillars of the transformation that we are undergoing at the industry level. Just the balance and application of innovations with measure and understanding of needs and human nature are the parameters for success. This approach allows us to be a leader in the modernization of banking services, while preserving ethical and traditional values that strengthen the bank as a reliable partner in the community.
